{"id":10067,"date":"2010-10-12T19:22:25","date_gmt":"2010-10-12T17:22:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.gbopera.it\/?p=10067"},"modified":"2014-06-30T12:18:52","modified_gmt":"2014-06-30T10:18:52","slug":"la-stupenda-e-la-divina","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.studioroldo.it\/gbopera\/la-stupenda-e-la-divina\/","title":{"rendered":"La &#8220;Stupenda&#8221; e la &#8220;Divina&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>L&#8217;improvvisa notizia della scomparsa di <strong>Joan Sutherland, il 10 ottobre a Montreaux in Svizzera, all&#8217;et\u00e0 di 83 anni<\/strong>, ci offre purtroppo una triste opportunit\u00e0 per parlare del grande soprano australiano.<br \/>\n<strong>Straordinario fu il suo debutto nel 1959<\/strong> a Londra sotto la direzione di Tullio Serafin nella produzione di Franco Zeffirelli. Quell\u2019allestimento era frutto insieme alla<em> Medea <\/em>di Cherubini di un accordo tra il teatro londinese e il teatro di Dallas per la rappresentazione delle due opere in entrambe le citt\u00e0. Infatti nel Texas l\u2019opera di Donizetti sar\u00e0 cantata per l\u2019ultima volta da Maria nel novembre del 1959.<br \/>\n<strong>Al 1952 risaliva l\u2019incontro tra le due cantanti<\/strong>, sempre a Londra durante le recite di Norma dirette da Gui nelle quali la Callas interpretava la sacerdotessa druidica. La Sutherland cantava nel ruolo di Clotilde.
