\u00e9tait pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 pour la derni\u00e8re fois de la saison 2023 et le Prologue &#8220;Das Rheingold&#8221; \u00e9tait donn\u00e9 en cette soir\u00e9e du 21 ao\u00fbt. Cette production con\u00e7ue en 2022 par le metteur en sc\u00e8ne\u00a0<b>Valentin Schwarz\u00a0<\/b>n&#8217;a fait l&#8217;unanimit\u00e9 ni de la presse ni du public. Loin de la conception de Richard Wagner, la d\u00e9ception est grande. Ici point de Dieux, de Walhalla, mais une saga familiale o\u00f9 l&#8217;on se dispute le pouvoir et l&#8217;argent, l&#8217;un n&#8217;allant pas sans l&#8217;autre, et peu importent les incoh\u00e9rences et les situations improbables. Ce que l&#8217;on peut accepter dans un r\u00e9cit onirique est ici mal venu sur cette musique aux effets grandioses aux dimensions d&#8217;un Walhalla. Le metteur en sc\u00e8ne impose son point de vue et veut nous raconter des histoires de personnes actuelles. Cela fonctionne-t-il avec cette musique ? La r\u00e9ponse est non ! Vient-on \u00e0 Bayreuth qui ne vit et ne respire que par Richard Wagner pour les images con\u00e7ues par ce metteur en sc\u00e8ne de 33 ans habitu\u00e9 aux sagas distribu\u00e9es par Netflix ? La r\u00e9ponse est encore non ! Le public boude et laisse des billets invendus, le public siffle&#8230; Il veut \u00eatre en communion avec le compositeur, savourer sa musique sans \u00eatre sans cesse d\u00e9rang\u00e9 par ce qu&#8217;il voit et par une mise en sc\u00e8ne qu&#8217;il ne comprend pas toujours. Voler l&#8217;or contenu dans le Rhin ? C&#8217;est simple on lui volera ses enfants, ses h\u00e9ritiers et c&#8217;est ce que fera\u00a0<i>Alberich<\/i>\u00a0en enlevant le jeune gar\u00e7on qui deviendra l&#8217;objet de bien des convoitises. Les\u00a0<i>Filles du Rhin\u00a0<\/i>sont des nurses qui pataugent dans un petit bassin en surveillant les enfants et\u00a0<i>Alberich<\/i>\u00a0qui tentera de les s\u00e9duire, sans succ\u00e8s, renoncera \u00e0 l&#8217;amour et choisira la qu\u00eate de la puissance. Ici\u00a0<i>Alberich\u00a0<\/i>et\u00a0<i>Wotan\u00a0<\/i>sont des fr\u00e8res jumeaux qui se d\u00e9testent&#8230; Et tout commence par une vid\u00e9o o\u00f9 les deux f\u00e9tus, reli\u00e9s par le cordon ombilical, nagent dans le liquide amniotique&#8230; D\u00e9but de la saga. Ils jouent, v\u00eatus de rose, dans une nurserie vitr\u00e9e sous la garde de\u00a0<i>Mime.<\/i>\u00a0Tout est assez confus dans ce r\u00e9cit o\u00f9 l&#8217;on sort souvent les revolvers. Heureusement les\u00a0<i>leitmotive<\/i>\u00a0nous guident et l&#8217;on reconna\u00eet celui des\u00a0<i>g\u00e9ants<\/i>, alors que l&#8217;un tue l&#8217;autre, celui de\u00a0<i>Donner<\/i>, dieu du tonnerre&#8230; Dans ce remue-m\u00e9nage continuel d&#8217;enl\u00e8vements l&#8217;on perd parfois la musique mais les voix solides et sans faiblesse soutiennent notre attention.\u00a0<b>Evelin Novak<\/b>,\u00a0<i>Woglinde,\u00a0<\/i><b>Stephanie Houtzeel<\/b>,\u00a0<i>Wellgunde,\u00a0<\/i><b>Simone Schr\u00f6der<\/b>,<i>\u00a0Flosshilde, Les Filles du Rhin\u00a0<\/i>font retentir leurs voix fra\u00eeches et \u00e9quilibr\u00e9es dans des rythmes pr\u00e9cis et des rires insolents en r\u00e9ponse \u00e0 la voix grave et projet\u00e9e du baryton\u00a0<b>Olafur Sigurdarson<\/b>\u00a0cet\u00a0<i>Alberich\u00a0<\/i>au caract\u00e8re inqui\u00e9tant dont le physique et le temp\u00e9rament sont taill\u00e9s pour ce r\u00f4le et qui vient d&#8217;enlever le jeune gar\u00e7on. C&#8217;est dans un int\u00e9rieur cossu que nous rencontrons\u00a0<i>Wotan,\u00a0<\/i>le ma\u00eetre des lieux.\u00a0<b>Tomasz Konieczny<\/b>\u00a0impose son timbre de baryton-basse dans une belle ligne de chant qui laisse r\u00e9sonner les graves. Plus mafieux que\u00a0<i>G\u00e9ants<\/i>,\u00a0<b>Tobias Kehrer\u00a0<\/b>et<b>\u00a0Jens-Erik Aasbo,\u00a0<\/b><i>Fafner\u00a0<\/i>et\u00a0<i>Fasolt,<\/i><b>\u00a0<\/b>font r\u00e9sonner leurs voix de basses et donnent du relief \u00e0 leur interpr\u00e9tation dans un phras\u00e9 tr\u00e8s musical. Venus pour enlever\u00a0<i>Freia<\/i>, ils repartiront avec elle malgr\u00e9 ses plaintes exprim\u00e9es par la voix puissante du soprano chaleureux d<b>&#8216;Hailey Clark<\/b>. Voix de caract\u00e8re aussi, la\u00a0<i>Fricka\u00a0<\/i>de\u00a0<b>Christa Mayer<\/b>, toujours appr\u00e9ci\u00e9e pour sa force, son interpr\u00e9tation et la rondeur de son mezzo-soprano. Autre voix de femme tr\u00e8s remarqu\u00e9e, le contralto de\u00a0<b>Okka von der Damerau\u00a0<\/b>qui pr\u00eate son humanit\u00e9 \u00e0\u00a0<i>Erda\u00a0<\/i>dans de belles prises de notes et un phras\u00e9 qui n&#8217;exclut pas les nuances et laisse r\u00e9sonner les graves. On remarque aussi le baryton de\u00a0<b>Raimund Nolte\u00a0<\/b>pour un\u00a0<i>Donner\u00a0<\/i>puissant aux aigus soutenus ainsi que la voix du t\u00e9nor\u00a0<b>Attilio Glaser\u00a0<\/b>pour un\u00a0<i>Froh\u00a0<\/i>rythm\u00e9 \u00e0 la voix projet\u00e9e. Le\u00a0<i>leitmotiv\u00a0<\/i>des enclumes nous pr\u00e9sente le\u00a0<i>Mime\u00a0<\/i>d<b>&#8216;Arnold Bezuyen\u00a0<\/b>dans la nurserie o\u00f9 les enfants sont rassembl\u00e9s. Tr\u00e8s investi dans son jeu, cette interpr\u00e9tation parfois amusante laisse toutefois appr\u00e9cier une voix puissante au timbre rond et au phras\u00e9 musical. Mais peu \u00e0 peu l&#8217;unit\u00e9 se fait, les sons se fondent tout en laissant ressortir les instruments solistes et cr\u00e9ent la magie propre \u00e0 ce lieu qui r\u00e9siste \u00e0 toutes les incoh\u00e9rences des divers metteurs en sc\u00e8ne. Ni les lumi\u00e8res revues par\u00a0<b>Nicol Hungsberg<\/b>, ni les costumes actuels cr\u00e9\u00e9s par\u00a0<b>Andy Besuch<\/b>, ni m\u00eame les d\u00e9cors parfois trop charg\u00e9s d<b>&#8216;Andrea Cozzi\u00a0<\/b>ne r\u00e9ussiront \u00e0 rendre les atmosph\u00e8res \u00e9tranges ou mal\u00e9fiques de ce premier volet du\u00a0<i>Ring\u00a0<\/i>des Nibelungen. Mise en sc\u00e8ne hu\u00e9e d\u00e8s la fermeture du rideau, mais longues, longues minutes d&#8217;un tonnerre d&#8217;applaudissements pour ces chanteurs remarquables et l&#8217;orchestre.
