Extra: la trama illustrata, il cast, intervista a Colin Davis, il racconto della fiaba.\u00a0<strong> 2 DVD Opus Arte <\/strong>(sottotitoli in italiano). <\/em>L&#8217;opera pi\u00f9 famosa di Engelbert Humperdinck, con <em>Lo schiaccianoci, <\/em>l&#8217;altrettanto celebre balletto di Caikovskij, nei paesi dell&#8217;area anglo-tedesca, sono i titoli per eccellenza del periodo natalizio. Rappresentata per la prima volta nel 1893, la partitura ha una impostazione romantica, anche se risente delle influenze wagneriane, del quale Humperdinck\u00a0 era segretario.\u00a0 L&#8217;autore\u00a0 ricav\u00f2 ispirazione da canzoni e filastrocche popolari rendendo cos\u00ec popolare il proprio lavoro al grande pubblico.\u00a0 L&#8217;opera infatti ebbe un grandissimo successo e fu\u00a0 da subito rappresentata in tutto il mondo, entrando stabilmente nel normale repertorio operistico.\u00a0 <strong>Questa edizione, registrata al Covent Garden di Londra nel dicembre 2008, sfoggia un cast pressoch\u00e8 perfetto,<\/strong> lo stesso vale per l&#8217;orchestra magistralmente diretta da Colin Davis. La messa in scena, non \u00e8 certamente convenzionale, anzi, ha dei momenti decisamente &#8220;noir&#8221;.\u00a0 Un po&#8217; di magia in pi\u00f9 non sarebbe guastata! In ogni caso uno spettacolo interessante.
