To be a teacher.
\nHave you ever sought revenge?<\/strong>
\nI’ve thought about it, but in the end never saw the merit in it.
\nDid your family influence your choices?<\/strong>
\nYes, very much early on – but subconsciously.
\nIt took me to reach my 30’s to start making choices independently.
\nWas music a vocation?<\/strong>
\nAbsolutely, without question – and it continues to be.
\nWhat\u2019s missing in your life today?<\/strong>
\nNot a single thing.
\nThe greatest disappointment?<\/strong>
\nI think any disappointments that have come my way have always led to something very positive and served as an opportunity for growth and freedom, so in the end, they weren’t disappointments at all – it just took a bit of time and work for me to realize it.
\nWhich is your most cherished memory?<\/strong>
\nLife with my father.
\nHow important is money to you?… Which is the item you like spending money on the most?<\/strong>
\nNot terribly important – I see it as a necessity, but I don’t put too much power in it. \u00a0I don’t tend to spend on luxury items or things that can’t fit into a suitcase, but I will spend money on an EXPERIENCE: a great meal, a fabulous vacation, a safari…ah yes!
\nDo you collect anything?<\/strong>
\nNo I don’t – I have learned that collecting things tends to weigh me down. \u00a0But I do cherish my photos, which I suppose is a type of collection.
\nDo you have a recurrent dream?<\/strong>
\nNo. \u00a0Should I?
\nWhat are you afraid of the most?<\/strong>
\nI have worked pretty hard to try and get rid of fear in my life – so while there may be some hidden fears, I think for the most part I strive to not entertain them!
\nWhich is your most ambitious dream? <\/strong>
\nLove.
\nAre ideals, passions important? <\/strong>
\nHUGELY! I’m very idealistic, and think that perhaps sometimes that makes things a bit more difficult for me. But I’m a big believer in the power of the human spirit to be fabulous – and passion is often what drives that!
\nThe moment you felt the proudest?<\/strong>
\nWatching my husband conduct.
\nYour biggest challenge?<\/strong>
\nStaying positive and keeping my weight in a good range.
\nWhat or who makes you feel embarrassed?<\/strong>
\nVery little anymore….after one falls on stage, breaking a leg in front of 2200 people there is little left to be embarrassed by.

\nA hot stone massage.

\nThat’s impossible to pin down, but SOME of my favorites? Cape Town, San Francisco, Paris, Venice, London, New York and Kansas City.

\nWake up next to my husband, (in no hurry to leave the bed), brunch with friends, a walk on the beach, an evening concert with my husband in an outdoor arena under the full moon with candles everywhere, finished by a great dinner in a restaurant with friends and great wine.
\nWhich is your hideaway?<\/strong>
\nMy home in Kansas City.
\nThe film you love the most?<\/strong>
\nIt changes – currently, the most recent one is “Up”, which was glorious.
\nYour favorite season?<\/strong>
\nSpring, followed closely by Autumn.
\nWhich is the place where cooking is the worst ever?<\/strong>
\nI would never say!
\nHow would you define your relation with food ?<\/strong>
\nI LOVE food and love to eat, but I only indulge when with family\/friends. When I’m on the road by myself I don’t treat myself much at all.
\nYour favourite dish?<\/strong>
\nMy husband’s Spaghetti Carbonara.
\nThe dish you cook the best?<\/strong>
\nPastries – I love to bake: bread, cookies, cinnamon rolls, cakes…all the terribly naughty things to eat!
\nRed or white wine?<\/strong>
\nDepends on the day\/mood – but at the end of the day? A great glass of Red Wine.
\nWhat\u2019s never missing in your refrigerator?<\/strong>
\nDiet coke, parmeggiano cheese, and capers.
\nWhat\u2019s your weakness in kitchen?<\/strong>
\nImpatience – I hate to have to wait for the water to boil.

\nWe don’t have one in our home. \u00a0When it’s good, it can be very good, but most of the time it’s terribly awful.

\nIf you look at it that way, yes.
\nWhat do you do an hour prior to go on stage?<\/strong>
\nSome yoga\/stretching, and usually visit my colleagues dressing rooms to start to build up the energy between the cast.

\nAh, not too many nice things, but I’m working on that!
